Cellular Phone Charms
At Always Charming, we are experts when it comes to cellular phone charms. Unfortunately, it has to come to our attention that though some people (not our customers, of course) can buy charms, many of them forget how to behave with charm when actually on their cell phone. Therefore, we believe it is only right that we take a minute to discuss a different kind of cell phone charm. A more ephemeral cell phone charm.
The Internet is loaded with top ten rules for cell phone etiquette, but the fact of the matter is, all you have to do is remember two things. Be Polite. Be Private. All those rules you see essentially come down to these two points.
Be Polite: If the ring of your cell phone could offend others, be intrusive, or "ruin a moment" for someone else, like in a theatre, a movie house, or a concert, turn the phone off. If you're at a wedding, a funeral, a church service, in a class, or in a business meeting, turn the phone off. Your voice mail will catch the call. When you can return it, do, as long as you remember to...
Be Private: No matter how delightful your conversation is to you and the person on the other end of the line, it is alas, not delightful to anyone around you. In fact, it's a bore. So be aware. A good rule of thumb is to always be at least 10 feet away from anyone before making or taking a call. The other aspect of "be private" is don't talk about anything that has to do with your body, your sex life, or your money. If you just try to always be polite, and always be private, you'll always be charming.
